Michael G. Wilson
Sheriff Michael G. Wilson, a native of Youngstown, Ohio, has dedicated his life to serving his country, state, and community. A graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and Youngstown State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science Criminal Justice, Sheriff Wilson’s career spans over three decades of law enforcement and military service.
In his early years, Sheriff Wilson enlisted in the U.S. Army and Ohio Army National Guard, serving eight years of active duty and National Guard time. As a Persian Gulf War veteran, he proudly served in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm as a combat Military Police Team Leader. Once he returned, he knew that law enforcement and service to his country, state, and community was his passion.
