About Senior Levy Services...

The Trumbull County Senior Services Levy is a five year, three-quarter mill property tax levy which began in 2005. It funds programs to enhance the well being of Trumbull County adults who are age 60 and older. Due to the success of the Senior Programs, since the initial 2005 5-year Senior Levy passage by the voters, renewals have passed in 2010, 2015, 2019, for services to continue through 2024 before the next ballot request.

Services are available in every township to help these residents maintain their health and remain in their homes.

Funds are made available through a public request for proposal (RFP) process. Funding recommendations are made by the Senior Services Advisory Council and are approved by the Trumbull County Board of Commissioners.

Trumbull County Commissioners appoint eleven (11) members to serve voluntarily for a three (3) year terms. These Senior Services Advisory Council (SSAC) members meet monthly to assist the TC Commissioners with decisions to be made for the success of all levy programs. Recommendations are made to the Commissioners to approve as the ultimate decision lies with the Trumbull County Commissioners. CLICK HERE for the Application for SSAC Council member consideration.

Council meetings are 11:00 a.m., Fourth Thursday monthly.

Should that meeting be canceled; the rescheduled meeting may be the following Thursday. Notification will be posted in the Tribune Chronicle Agenda portion of the Tribune.
