Medicaid is state and federally funded health care coverage. Medicaid is very broad, with two major covered groups, Aged, Blind, and Disabled (ABD), and Covered Families and Children (CF&C).
TCDJFS administers Medicaid programs that provide health care coverage to:
- Income-eligible parents and their children up to age 21
- Preventive and treatment services up to age 21
- Older Adults
- Pregnant Women
- Aged, Blind and Disabled Medicaid for people 65 and older, blind or those with disabilities
- Nursing home and in-home care.
- Income-eligible people with disabilities
- Children in foster care
