Captain Dan Lester

Captain Dan Lester graduated from Warren Western Reserve High School and attended Youngstown State and Kent State Trumbull Universities.

In 1989, Captain Lester started his law enforcement career as a Corrections Officer in the former Trumbull County Jail, located on the corner of Harmon and High Streets, in Warren, Ohio. In 1997, Captain Lester was present for the construction, transition, and initial occupation, of the current Trumbull County Jail.

Captain Lester held various positions in Corrections, and his promotions include Jail Lieutenant, Jail Security Officer, and Assistant Warden. Captain Lester contributed to developing the philosophies, policies, and procedures, for the current Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office Jail Policy and Procedure Manual.

In 2020, Captain Lester retired from the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office with 31 years of dedicated service. In 2021, Captain Lester was promoted to the rank of Captain at the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office for Sheriff Paul Monroe and oversees Corrections.
